ABS Collision Inc based in Brampton, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Welder. ABS Collision Inc is a reputable auto body repair shop specializing in collision repair and restoration services. With a team of skilled technicians and state-of-the-art equipment, ABS Collision Inc offers a comprehensive range of services including dent repair, paint refinishing, frame straightening, and vehicle detailing. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate attention to detail
  • The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently and possess hand-eye coordination

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, be organized, and be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
  • The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, and oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC)
  • The candidates should be able to examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications and determine the weldability of materials
  • The candidates should be able to operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, as well as fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
  • The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting equipment and previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal and start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines
  • The candidates should be able to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
