Description

Supports department information systems requirements and objectives. Consults with system users and makes software and/or hardware recommendations. Installs and/or develops customized software as required. Provides training and documentation of software. Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs as necessary any department hardware and peripherals. May maintain department file server, i.e. back-ups, additions and deletion of users, etc.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to safeguard systems and data.
  • Proficiency in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading computer hardware components.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, and updating software applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and configurations to ensure connectivity and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Familiarity with backup procedures and data recovery techniques to prevent data loss.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, environments, and challenges in a fast-paced IT landscape.
  • Dedication to providing excellent customer service and support to end-users.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Capability to work collaboratively with colleagues, management, and other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in technical tasks and documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range: $39,215 – $63,725

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
