The Community Solution is hiring a Marketing and Communications Design Team Intern within our Marketing Design Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in graphic design and branding, creative design and/or photography. They will be creative, eager, and agile in developing branding design tactics that engages, inspires, and resonates with core audiences. They will be highly organized in order to assist with the launch of our new DAM (Digital Asset Management) platform.

They will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment. They are a team player, who is a natural communicator and collaborator, who can also maintain focus and attention when undertaking independent work or assignments. The intern will also be responsible for assisting with the execution of Canva teams launch to the entire organization to support branded collateral of the entire Community Solution.

They will be competent and driven, adept at decision-making and problem-solving, able to project manage multiple projects, and will have a positive attitude. They will possess initiative and good judgment and will be conscientious and trustworthy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help assist the Marketing & Design team in organizing and retouching photos in the new Digital Asset Management (DAM)

  • Help in assisting with the execution of Canva teams launch to the entire organization to support branded collateral of the entire Community Solution.

  • Organize and manage photos in the DAM to support marketing efforts of use with photography for The Community Solution Education System and its universities.

  • Assist in creating mood boards for photo shoots.

  • Retouch photos to make them ready for use by the marketing team.

  • Assist in creating templates in Canva for use across the Community Solution and its universities.

Final Project

The complete transfer and arrangement of DAM assets, along with a demonstration of its functionality through selected folders showcasing the Photoshop capabilities, have been successfully implemented based on the new organizational structure.

Experience / Qualifications

  • At least three years collegiate experience (rising junior or senior)

  • Enrolled in social media, digital marketing, digital strategy, advertising, multimedia, journalism, or communications degree program(s)

  • Solid understanding of design and branding principles and tactics.

  • Skilled communicator with excellent verbal, written, presentation skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.

  • Must have solid proficiency with photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop)
    and other adobe products (Adobe Illustrator and InDesign).

  • Strong organizational skills required.

  • Content creation experience preferred.

  • Ability to work inside and outside of traditional office conditions including remote work commitment to our internship program

  • Comfortable working with software and technologies that power social media content creation, management, and analysis (i.e. Hootsuite, Canva, etc.)
