Job Description:
The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing
at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is inviting applicants for an NIH-funded
post-doctoral fellow position in the Speech Neuroscience Lab. Our research is focused on studying the sensorimotor mechanisms of speech and
their impairments in neurogenic populations with post-stroke aphasia. Excellent facilities for EEG, fMRI, and
behavioral testing are available.

The Research Associate will plan, conduct, and direct a wide variety of experiments and simulations
using advanced equipment and applying complex techniques, methods, and procedures. They’re responsible for the evaluation and interpretation
of research data, and for planning and executing the details of experiments according to research protocol. The fellow will have an exciting
opportunity to pursue collaborative projects across multi-disciplinary programs at the UTD as well as the Center
for the Study of Aphasia Recovery at the University of South Carolina, and the Department of Cognitive and Language Sciences at the
University of California, Irvine.

This position is in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing in the School of
Behavioral and Brain Sciences at UTD (bbs.utdallas.edu). UTD is the fastest-growing

Candidates with a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech and Hearing Science and other
related fields (e.g., Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Engineering and Psychology) are welcome to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Speech, EEG, and fMRI data collection and analysis as well as computer programming is
    preferred.
