Job Description

Can you lead a fast-growing professional services firm with operations across four continents? Do you have the mindset to mentor team members to drive performance and innovative thinking? Can you lead and facilitate collaboration across multiple departments for operational excellence? Do you have the skills to interface with CxO and SVP leaders of enterprise clients while negotiating long-term win-win deals? Can you evaluate and negotiate with potential acquisition targets and potential investors?

Top 5 Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with CEO/founder and executive team to set and drive organization vision and strategy.
  2. Lead McFadyen operations including sales, marketing, and global delivery across four continents.
  3. Drive growth of company revenue and EBITDA.
  4. Interface with potential investors and acquisition targets.
  5. Lead the implementation of processes (e.g. EOS L10) to enable further business scaling.


  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to define & execute near-, mid- and long-term strategic plans.
  • Collaboratively drive sales, marketing, and project delivery strategies to accelerate business growth.
  • Inspire and manage an amazing to team to excellence.
  • Oversee all aspects of business operations and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present monthly updates and present to a board of advisors.
  • Assist with researching our acquisition of small companies to grow our offerings.
  • Create and implement business metrics for a client facing organization.
  • Collaborate with CFO to develop and manage global annual budgets.
  • Review and approve sales contracts.
  • Accelerate our focus on increasing talent-density and TopGrading while maintaining a great culture.
  • Review and approve customer and vendor contracts.
  • Oversee and manage operational reporting such as utilization, realization, margins and other corporate KPIs.
  • Manage existing processes and create new processes in all functional areas as needed.
  • Analyze and make recommendations based on monthly operating performance.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.


  • Experience leading teams delivering web technology solutions, ideally related to ecommerce or marketplace.
  • At least 20 years of work experience, most in the technology industry (commercial preferred over government contracting).
  • At least 5 years as a President, COO, CEO, SVP, EVP or similar leadership role for organizations with over 100 employees (ideally over 1,000 employees).
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, counsel, and train staff.
  • Leadership experience in a multi-national professional services firm, ideally with offices in India, Brazil, and/or Europe.
  • Experience engaging with M&A advisors and investors to assist in small acquisitions.
  • A history of successfully scaling a technology business.
  • Ability to be both strategic and tactical. Negotiation tact when dealing with clients and partners.
  • Possess innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with and forge relationships with employees, customers and vendors at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a team player, able to meet strict deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
  • Bring a powerful network of connections in the industry – both at client and partner organizations.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Open to travel up to 25% of time (actual travel may only be 10%, but must be flexible).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a technical or business focus.
  • Experience with specific software partners a plus: Mirakl, Adobe Commerce / Magento, commercetools,, Oracle, SAP, Shopify, BigCommerce, Spryker, VTEX, CommerceHub, ChannelAdvisor, LogicBroker, or Marketplacer.
  • Experience with large systems integrators / consultancies / agencies a plus: Accenture, Deloitte, Publicis Sapient, PwC, EY, KPMG, Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, IBM, HCL, KPS, CGI, DMI, EPAM, BORN, Gorilla, LiveArea, OSF Digital, Omnicom, WPP, DCX, Atos, ThoughtWorks, dentsu, Merkle, AKQA, Atos, Astound, MindCurv, MindTree, Perficient, Acumen Solutions, Bounteous, MRM, Valtech, Mastek, Tech Mahindra, Wunderman Thompson, Capgemini, McKinsey, BCG, Kearney, Roland Berger, or Bain.
