JOB SUMMARY:

The Web Content Manager for TSU’s Bullard Center manages the day-to-day operations of the Center’s web-based communication strategies. The incumbent may be responsible for supervising staff employees, student workers, programs, and/or processes.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

The Web Content Manager is a highly collaborative, self-motivated, creative person that is adaptable to new processes with capacity to function independently. The Web Content Manager is knowledgeable (or able to become knowledgeable) of community outreach and programming that can be developed into web-based programs implemented at both the individual and community level.

This is a Grant Funded position.

Essential Duties Summary

  • Manages the development and implementation of the digital communication and community dissemination strategies for the Bullard Center for Environmental and Climate Justice
  • Collaborates on the writing, design and coordination of the production of digital communication and marketing materials
  • Oversees digital community-building through social media channels, email marketing and the Center’s web presence (WebFlow experience required)
  • Responsible for ownership and management of digital channels and the website
  • Ensures brand consistency and integrity across all digital channels and assets, including messaging, imagery, and tone of voice
  • Implements a cohesive editorial strategy and voice
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders, such as special project teams, service teams, IT, and campus partners to achieve program goals and to ensure coordination
  • Manages constituent concerns and reputational issues and other high priorities on digital channels
  • Manages the execution of robust email marketing campaigns; including segmentation, automation and other email best practices that deliver conversions
  • Applies the latest SEO innovations to continuously improve search engine visibility and performance
  • Develops digital platforms to support event attendance and execution, including adding events to public calendars
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

% FTE: 1.0

Hiring Range: $55,513.00 – $69,392.00

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • WebFlow required
  • SEO Management

Skill in:

  • Knowledge of the web, technology, social platforms, current and future trends
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem solver
  • Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of different social publishing platforms
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (WebFlow required) 
  • Experience with email marketing systems (ex: Mailchimp)
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of website metrics and best practices

Ability to:

  • Independent use of technology, virtual meeting platforms, and social media
  • Learn and adapt to new processes
  • Assist with the development of verbiage and the coordination of mass, social, and print media marketing campaigns

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years web management experience is required
  • Webflow experience required

Preferred:

  • Experience managing multiple different types of social media brand accounts simultaneously, with the ability to communicate to a specific brand tone
  • Event marketing experience
  • Basic photography skills
  • Experience with search engine optimization, lead generation, and email marketing
  • Experience with both organic and paid social content

Working/Environmental Conditions

  • Routine office environment
  • Sitting or standing in one location much of the time
  • Use of video display terminal
  • Some travel
  • May be asked to work nights and weekend
